On July 1, 2024, we announced adjustments to Section 3.22 of the Think+ Compensation Plan, Qualification Value. This section defines Electricity Bands and Community Solar Tiers, which categorize customers based on their energy usage and are critical in determining eligibility for commissions and bonuses within our compensation structure.

By aligning incentives with higher usage customers, we can drive greater profitability for the organization, which will open the door for even greater rewards as we continue to grow. Here's how  Bands and Tiers are now assigned:

Note: The new Electricity Band qualification values will result in more points for you, and we’re honoring them retroactively: Our initial reports indicate that 35 Energy Advisors will Rank Advance and combine to earn an additional $20,000 as part of a one-time true up.

Why didn't we true up Community Solar points?
Trust us, we looked into it. But, because of the various promotions we've run throughout Think Community Solar history, there were several cases in which a true-up would result in less points for EAs. We didn't want that, and we're pretty confident you wouldn't, either. It was an apples-to-oranges situation, which is why it made the most sense to start fresh on July 1.

What's the difference between a Pending Customer Status and a Pending Tier Assignment?
When a customer goes into Pending Status, they become Rank qualified and are assigned points. However, they can't be assigned a Tier until we're able to confirm historical usage date from the utility that serves the customers’ area. It usually takes the utility about 3-5 business days to provide this information – though it can sometimes take longer -- and we'll adjust your point totals accordingly as soon as we’re able. This brings us to our next question...

Will my Tier assignments and point totals ever change?
When you enroll a new customer, we'll automatically assign them 1 point and adjust their Band/Tier assignment once the utility has confirmed their usage data. Again, this process generally takes 3-5 business days. If this historical usage is unavailable, which can be the case with newly built homes, we'll reevaluate their classification when data becomes available and place them in the appropriate Band/Tier.
