Our Race to Protect One Million Trees
April 22nd is Earth Day, but at Think Energy we’re celebrating for the whole month by showing our planet some extra love. Double the love to be exact!
As an Independent Energy Advisor with Think Energy, your efforts contribute to environmental solutions both locally and globally. Think Community Solar allows us to amp up green energy production in local communities while our partnership with One Tribe protect rainforests worldwide.
Starting April 1st, Think Energy has increased our partnership with One Tribe by protecting not just 50 trees, but 100 trees for each customer enrolled this month. That’s a lot of trees!
So far, Think Energy has safeguarded over 460,000 trees since February 2023 and with your help we’re on our way to protect over 1 million trees by the end of April.
Why protect trees in the rainforest?
Rainforests are the lungs of our planet, the natural solution to climate change that remove and store CO2 from our atmosphere. Tropical deforestation is 15% of net global carbon emissions each year. Halting tropical deforestation and allowing for regrowth could mitigate up to 50% of net global emissions through 2050.
How does One Tribe protect rainforests?
One Tribe connects Think Energy directly to rainforest protection charities so every sale contributes a donation to help protect rainforests and the indigenous tribes and biodiversity that call them home. The rainforest charities then fund on-the-ground projects to save and continually protect the land.
